In the Moment Planning

Trinity Pre-School has embraced Anna Ephgrave’s.  ‘In the Moment Planning' approach to Early Years Foundation Stages. The Early Years Foundation Stage explicitly states that ‘Practitioners must consider the individual needs, interests, and stage of development of each child in their care’. Child-led learning is widely regarded as one of the most effective ways of doing this and is the reason why we have embraced the practise of ‘In the Moment Planning’.

The basis of this is that all children have a natural desire to learn and explore. Our experienced staff practitioners role is to be aware of the child’s current interests, to plan and adapt our environment so that it is interesting, intriguing and an evolving place for the children to learn and develop. It is up to us as a team to create an environment rich in resources that sparks interest, develops imagination, uses creativity and therefore ability to learn.
